Support and Relief for Hurricane Beryl Victims

The management of ACHA wishes to extend our support and solidarity and support to the Caribbean countries devastated by the recent Hurricane Beryl that swept through the region. From Saint Lucian to St. Vincent & the Grenadines to Jamaica and Grenada. We pledge support to those adversely impacted by the devastating passing of Hurricane Beryl.

Saint Lucia was the first island to be hit by the category 4 Hurricane Beryl disaster. This has resulted in the loss of livelihoods of fishing communities along that coastline.

The ACHA calls on partners and volunteers who wish to contribute to any of these initiatives to please send donations through the CSA website donate section (indicate Hurricane Beryl Support). In addition to this, a donation booth will be set up during the Edmonton K-Days expo from July 119-21, 2024 where items for back to school activities will be collected for the children in the affected areas. A virtual fundraising concert will also be organized featuring violinist Leah Flynn and Belly dancer Okama Brook and other performing artists.

Friends and supporters are encouraged to donate to the CTO which is leading rehabilitation efforts across the entire Caribbean region. Union Island, St. Vincent & the Grenadines as well as Grenada and Carriacou, Petite Martinique, Barbados, St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland and surrounding parishes of Jamaica along with other areas impacted by the extensive damages caused by Hurricane Beryl. These islands need our collective help. Donate directly to the CTO relief fund here: https://www.onecaribbean.org/our-work/advocacy/cto-relief-fund/. And the
The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency CDEMA fund here https://cdema.org/ . Please help spread the word on how people can support this relief fund and get the resources to help affected peoples and institutions.

We thank you for your support as we pull together to help our Caribbean region to recover.
