Amb Okama Brook bagged Award of Pragmatic Innovation towards African Cultural Development
The President and Founder of the Africa Caribbean Heritage Alliance, Ambassador Okama Ekpe Brook has bagged the Pragmatic Innovation Towards African Cultural Development Award at the just concluded Distinguished CEO Awards, held on the 20th of Nov. 2021 at Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotels and Resort, Abuja.
After much research, the organizers of the event, PAPYRUS MAGAZINE found Ambassador Okama Brook qualified to contest for the award alongside other prominent awardees, which she eventually won.
A total of 15 CEO’s and five local Government Chairmen were given Award of Excellence based on their outstanding performance in their different organizations, and in their various local Government areas.
Okama Ekpe Brook who was elected among other awardees was honored with the award of Pragmatic Innovation Towards African Cultural Development.
Okama Brook who is currently out of the country was duly represented by the Account officer of the organization Africa Caribbean Heritage Alliance Foundation in person of Effiong Omini.
In his acceptance speech Effiong Omini said, “The award was timely, that Ambassador Okama Ekpe has played a major roll in the development of African culture and she has sponsored various festivals across the nation particularly Nigeria. Some of these festivals are the Gbagyi festival in Karu Abuja municipal
council,The contest of Mr. & Mrs. Lakoli boku in Ekoli, Yakurr local government areas of Cross River State. Ambassador Okama has used this platform to empower youth and women mostly in FCT, Abuja. She has also organized different seminars advocating for the young ones not to forsake and forget the history and cultural heritage of our forefathers.
